Our education, advocacy, and fundraising efforts in the United States support WFP’s life-saving global food assistance and development programs.

  • WFP provides long-term solutions by training local governments to continue vital programs on their own.  They also support local communities by purchasing local food and by providing food in exchange for work on infrastructure projects.
  • As the UN’s leader in emergency logistics, the WFP is the world’s frontline humanitarian agency for addressing urgent hunger needs in global emergencies. WFP’s largest operation is in Sudan, where monthly food rations are provided to approximately one-third of the Darfur population.
